Welcome to the Kellywood Awards!

Hey everyone! So much good stuff to share with you today! It’s been quite a while since I added new bonus material, but with the recent release of Alice in La La Land, I put together a special release party to introduce the book and its characters.
Kellywood is a fictional Hollywood that many of my books are set in. (V is for Virgin, A is for Abstinence, Cinder & Ella, Happily Ever After, Alice in La La Land, Beauty and the Bachelor) And the Kellywood Academy is made up of members of my online reader group, AKA the reader squad.
In celebration of Alice’s book birthday, popular Kellywood Late Night talk show host, Kenneth Long, hosted the first ever Kellywood Awards. Members of the Kellywood Academy voted for their favorites, and characters from all of Kelly’s books showed up to attend the star-studded event of the century.
It’s never a good idea to put all of your book characters together in one place and hand over control to them. Let’s just say things got…interesting. It was quite the party, and even if you couldn’t make it, no one should miss out on all the chaos that ensued, so I’m posting the event here in my bonus material. Obviously, all giveaways and games mentioned in the following text are expired, but you can still enjoy the festivities and comment to your heart’s content. Warning, it’s long. Like, 25k, so prepare to settle in.
Enjoy!
KELLYWOOD AWARDS EVENT PREVIEW:
Kenneth: Hello all esteemed members of the Kellywood Academy! I’m Kenneth Long, host of the popular late night talk show The Kenneth Long Show. I’m stopping by to plug the upcoming Kellywood Awards. In just seven days, all of Kellywood’s biggest stars will be coming together to celebrate the works of international bestselling author Kelly Oram.
Kenneth: Ceremonies begin 7pm Arizona time and will be hosted by myself along with the cast of Kelly’s new release Alice in La La Land. We’ll get to know Alice and her gang, and they’re ready to tell you all about the book and even give you a few sneak peeks. They’ve got a couple games lined up for you as well.
Kenneth: We’ll have guest appearances from stars such as Brian and Ella Oliver, Kyle and Valerie Hamilton, Russ Devereaux, Ellie Westley, and dozens of others. With special musical guest, Nate Anderson, and a special interview with Vivian Euling and Sebastian Monroe from Kelly’s upcoming release Beauty and the Bachelor. I hear they’re planning to reveal the cover of their book.
Kenneth: And finally, we’ll have a live Q&A with the great Kelly Oram herself where she’ll answer all of your questions and tell you a little bit about what she’s got coming up in 2024. She’s also got several goodie bags to hand out for those in attendance including swag and signed books. It’s going to be a great time, so get that perfect dress or suit ready and RSVP to confirm your seat at the event of the season.
Matt: Dude. Kenneth. You’re so stiff.
Kenneth: I beg your pardon?
Matt: That whole speech you just gave was totally boring. Where’s your voice? You’re personality?
Kenneth: *sputters* It’s called being professional, and it was very informative.
Matt: Professional doesn’t get butts in seats, bro. Why would anybody want to show up after that plug? They’re probably all afraid you’re going to put them to sleep next week.
Alice: Matt. Be nice. He has to watch what he says, or he’ll be canceled. In fact, you should watch what you say, or our band will be canceled before we ever even play our first gig.
Lexie: *snorts* Matt? Watch what he says? He’d have to be smart enough to realize he’s saying something inappropriate in the first place.
Alice: *sighs* I know, I know. We might be screwed.
Matt: Hold up. Are you guys calling me dumb?
Alice: *shares a look with Lexie* Not dumb, necessarily. You’re brilliant when it comes to music. It’s just…everything else that seems to be an issue.
Lexie: You have selective intelligence. Like selective memory. You only use your brain when it’s convenient for you.
Matt: *scoffs* Maybe I just don’t want to show off my genius all the time and make everyone around me feel inferior.
Lexie: *smirks* Yeah, I’m sure that’s it.
Matt: *flips Lexie the bird*
Alice: Children. Please. Let’s not make a bad impression with the Academy. We may not have been up for any awards this time, but they still hold our future success in their hands.
Matt: Al, we make our own success. We’re going to be bigger than Tralse one day, with or without the members of the Kellywood Academy.
Kyle: *clears throat* That’s a pretty lofty claim, buddy.
Alice: *gasps*
Lexie: *squeaks*
Matt: *jaw drops*
Alice: Kyle Hamilton! Oh, my gosh! I can’t believe you’re here! It’s an honor to meet you! You’re a legend. A rock god.
Lexie: Seriously. You’re our favorite! And our biggest influence as a band. I can’t believe we’re talking to you right now.
Matt: Hey man. Wow. Yeah. This is amazing.
Kyle: Bigger than Tralse, huh? Aiming high.
Matt: *grins* You always say go big or go home, right?
Kyle: I do say that, don’t I? Positivity. Dreaming. I like it.
Lexie: *sighs* Oh, there’s definitely some dreaming going on.
Kyle: *grins* It’s always nice to be the star in someone’s dreams. Don’t tell my wife, though. She complains that my ego’s big enough as it is.
Lexie: My lips are sealed.
Kyle: You guys are all right. I can’t wait to hear what you’re made of.
Alice: *grins* I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Good luck at the awards next week.
Kyle: Thanks, but I don’t need it. I’ll for sure be leaving with a statue in my hands. One of the awards next week is for Best Leading Man. Who wouldn’t vote for me over that talentless hack, Brian Oliver?
Brian: *scoffs* Talentless hack?
Kyle: *flashes Alice and Lexie a sexy smile* You’d vote for me, right?
Lexie: *beams at Kyle* Oh, totally.
Matt: *nods in agreement* Hands down. Brian’s a cool guy and all, but he’s no you.
Alice: *hesitates*
Kyle: *cocks a brow* Did you not just call me a rock god a minute ago?
Alice: Yeah, you are. But Brian is as amazing as you just in different ways. I like you both for different reasons. I’m not sure I could choose. Plus, I mean, there’s Dylan to consider.
Dylan: Aw, thanks babe. I’d vote for you for Best Leading Lady for sure. *blows a kiss*
Alice: *catches kiss and puts it in her pocket*
Kyle: *sighs* I suppose picking the boyfriend over me is acceptable. At least Ella would vote for me over that douche.
Brian: Like hell she would.
Ella: *pats Brian’s arm* Of course I wouldn’t. You know you’re the only man for me. *shoots Kyle a playful wink when Brian’s not looking*
Brian: *glares at Kyle* You’re going to feel like an ass when I win next week.
Kyle: *glares back* You’re going to feel like an ass when I show up with your mom.
Brian: Your mom jokes? Really? *smirks at everyone present* Yeah, I’m not worried. At least not about him. I hear Grayson Kennedy’s nominated, though. He’s probably the one to watch out for.
Alice: Ooh, yeah. He’s a good one, too. So many great characters to choose from. I can’t wait to see how it all pans out.
Kenneth: *jumps into the conversation to get things back on track while he has a chance* Yeah, it’s going to be great. Thanks for stopping by everyone. We’ll see you all next week!
